General Program Information: EnglishConnect 3
ENGLISHCONNECT 3 PROGRAM SUMMARY
Learners use the EnglishConnect 3 course to prepare for PathwayConnect and other academic opportunities. In EnglishConnect 3, learners improve their ability to read, write, listen, and speak in English. They can repeat EnglishConnect 3 as many times as needed to accomplish their goals.
ENGLISHCONNECT 3 PROGRAM REQUIRMENTS
- Gatherings
- Weekly EnglishConnect 3 gathering attendance is required (either in-person or virtually). Gathering attendance makes up a significant part of a student’s overall course progress.
- Technology Access
- Success with online coursework depends on students having access to reliable internet, electricity, and a device with a minimum computing power. Before enrolling in a program, you should affirm that the following conditions are met:
- You need to have regular access to high-speed internet with adequate data.
- You need to be able to record clear audio for your speaking assignments.
- You need to have regular access to a device that meets the minimum device profile designated for your selected academic program, as explained on the BYU-Pathway Technology Requirements web page. (EnglishConnect 3 follows the same technology requirements as PathwayConnect.)
- Success with online coursework depends on students having access to reliable internet, electricity, and a device with a minimum computing power. Before enrolling in a program, you should affirm that the following conditions are met:
- Tuition
- Tuition is due on the fourth Monday of each term (day 22). You will receive a 5% late fee charge for all outstanding balance after this date.

- Visit the Tuition Discounts page for information regarding guaranteed scholarships and other possible discounts.
- Disability Services
- While BYU-Pathway is not legally required to provide access and accommodations to EnglishConnect, PathwayConnect, or Institute students with disabilities, it endeavors to provide reasonable assistance to students who need it. Such assistance is provided voluntarily and at BYU-Pathway's sole discretion. The voluntary assistance students receive may differ from accommodations provided by other institutions.
- EnglishConnect 3 participants can request assistance for disabilities through their student portal.
