Tutoring Options
BYU-Idaho provides free tutoring for most online courses. Math and Writing tutors are also available. See other tutoring options here: Online Tutoring.
You will need the following for an appointment:
  • A computer with a microphone and speakers (headset)
  • High-speed internet
  • A webcam (recommended)
If you are calling for help with a research paper you can chat with a librarian live (if it’s within business hours) BYU-Idaho Library.

Late/Missed Appointments
If you show up more than 10 minutes late to the appointment, the tutor may not be there to help you. If you don’t show up to the appointment and this has happened more than once, you will be blocked from scheduling further appointments. To get the block removed, you must contact the Online Tutoring Center at onlinetutor@byui.edu.
 
Appointment With a Tutor
You can schedule an appointment with a tutor from your student portal.
Steps:
  1. From the home page in the student portal, select the Resources tab
  2. Scroll to Tutoring
  3. Click More Info
  4. A new window will open with information on how to schedule an appointment with a tutor
